I am attempting to setup sendmail/procmail and qpopper to work on my server and am goint through fits. Here's the problem... I have setup procmail as the local delivery agent by changing the sendmail.cf Mlocal parameter and I have setup procmail to store mail in $HOME/.mail This works great, the mail is going to the correct place when it's received. The problem is that in order to get qpopper to work I setup a symbolic link in "/var/mail" to point to the $HOME/.mail file to get the actual data. Now when a message is received via procmail my symbolic link is renamed to BOGUS.X in var/mail and a blank file is created in it's place. So, The question is... What am I doing wrong? I have tried changing some of the mail folder designations in the actual programs and have attempted to do a "make" but get that the software is up to date. (Can you tell I'm a newbie) HELP!!!
