Ron, Firstly, as you might be aware, this is the wrong list for questions of a technical nature. They should be posted to freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Package versions are very much dependent on the version of FreeBSD you are running. Are you tracking -STABLE, or just using a -RELEASE? -STABLE and -CURRENT packages are kept up to date, but -RELEASE packages are built to be compatible with the Ports Collection that is included on the CD.
