T1 and FR require (binary) drivers from particular vendor. ATM - sure,
this can be added easily now that we have HARP in the tree - in fact, I
use such a floppy presently, and modification were really minor. But this
isn't a very common hardware, is it?

As far as I know, multiport eth. cards are seen just like any other cards,
except you see just that many of interfaces instead of a single one.
