You need to be on an intel platform with coretemp loaded. Every .5 seconds it prints all core temperatures. Every 5 seconds it consumes 1 GiB from /dev/random. If you are affected you will see access to the dev.cpu.%d.temperature sysctls start to stutter and freeze.
