Hello ! My problem locks like this : On FreeBSD 2.0.5 i am using the NFS server. The other UNIX systems running under diffrent versions; e.g. SINIX, SOLARIS, IRIX, OSF/1, .... The user logins are on the NFS filesystems. So /FreeBSD/home/<user> is a homedirectory. The loginshell is ksh. After the login the machine (not FreeBsd) displays error messages like this rcp.statd : can not talk to statd at FreeBsd all the time. So how to get a rpc.statd for FreeBSD ?? Is a real NFS locking available an FreeBSD 2.1 ?? Thanks
