Hi, It looks like your cddrive is on wcd1c instead of wcd0c. Make the appropriate change to your kernel config and recompile, also one weird thing i noticed about cdcontrol is that on some occasions you *need* to specify the track # explicitly, like cdcontrol> play 1 Later..
