afaik SRM cannot boot from ide devices.
Either boot from floppy or get a cheap NCR53810.
I had to try several cards. The ASUS board with the 53810 chip does
**NOT** work. I finally found one board which does work. I think its
made by symbios. It has little dolphins on the board :-)
and works well.
