It worked beautifully but there is the following dependency requiring yet another trip to the same well: I sure hope this is it. Due to Oracle license restrictions, you must fetch the source "instantclient-sqlplus-linux32-10.2.0.3-20061115.zip". It appears that this file installs the -basic client. Now, I'll go tie a horse shoe in to a square knot without a forge in order to relieve some pent up frustration. I don't know whether to laugh or swear.
