I have the ALi AladdinV chipset, whose USB chip either works great or doesn't work at all, depending on the system. I suspect BIOS initialization of the chip, but that may be totally off base. I posted a whole mess of debug output and diagnostics to -current recently for the chip. If there are USB-types on this list I'll post them here, perhaps I'll get a response this time! :-) -Cliff L.
