Does anyone out there do ipfw on gigabit ethernet? What kind of throughput can I expect with something like that? What are suggested gigabit cards to use right now with fbsd? I realize these are relatively vague questons, but I am looking for as much info as possible on this one. Looking at proprietary solutions has led me to the sad conclusion that there is no way we can afford those and alternative solutions must be found. I Appreciate any replies.
