Alright, consider this is a starting point for my experiences with my laptop! Now when I try and startup, the machine gets stuck at cbb0: unsupport card type detected. However, if I take the dock/base off and reboot, I can at least boot the system! This laptop used to run 4.8 with no problems. Will search the handbook to get into this gdb business.. ajt. ----- Forwarded message from Kris Kennaway <kris@obsecurity.org> ----- Date: Sat, 24 May 2003 15:18:31 -0700 From: Kris Kennaway <kris@obsecurity.org> To: Andrew Thomson <ajthomson@optushome.com.au> Cc: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Subject: Re: 5.1 beta 2 On Sun, May 25, 2003 at 12:58:11AM +1000, Andrew Thomson wrote: > hmm.. just did a fresh install of 5.1 beta 2 on my ibm x24 thinkpad. > > first thing I did was install cvsup from the cd... then when i try to > cvsup my ports, i get the following: > > Fatal trap 18: integer divide fault while in kernel mode > ..... > > > doesn't look so good.. it does this every time so far.. > > thoughts. This should be posted to current@FreeBSD.org. However, we need more information, like a crashdump and gdb traceback. See the handbook for details. Kris ----- End forwarded message -----
