Will's mail posted to the ports list, which I read as a committer can
fix dependencies, I even mailed him in advance.

Also, I don't think this kind of changes doesn't need MAINTAINER's
approval.  I've done similar changes to over a dozen ports already but
there wasn't a problem. (with build, or maintainership)
