That was my initial thought as well - I mean, what kind of username is
"needinfo" other than the choice of a none-too-imaginative idiot who wanted to
pull off the kind of scam you described ("Help me, I need info about your
XXX"). The fact that this has got to be about the most effort-intensive method
of harvesting spam addresses (targeting different mailing lists manually,
however vaguely, in the hope of getting a handful of extra email addresses,
most of which are likely already known to spammers) shows how desperate some
people can get to pursue their chosen vocation :-)
My only other comment is that forwarding your email back to someone you
believe to be an email-harvester (now trimmed from the CC) was probably not
the wisest of moves :-)
