This problem seems to occur after I have run a large bhyve guest, using 24
virtual CPUs on my 24 core / 48 thread server to do compute-intensive work =
like
building llvm.  The VM is terminated but the damage is done.  In the other
direction, FreeBSD with many virtual CPUs can get very sluggish when the ho=
st
is busy.  I think the problem there is 23 threads are spinning waiting for a
mutex to release and the virtual CPU owning the mutex is not running.
