Well, Austin ain't east -- but there is a lot of activity going on here and the Linux hysteria is at high pitch. Plus, it's 2,000 miles or less from 80% of the US. If East coast doesn't work out (which to me is Chicago and eastward), how about a BSDCon Central down here?
