I'm not arguing that it is "correct", or good form, not to include the include, just that the `It won't work.' statements that were made are false with respect to that version of cc on this platform. IIRC what the original poster asked for, Greg's reply was the definitive answer. Sure, the implementation has changed in the past twenty years but I believe the original request was for the `first' or `original' C program.
