Title says GPT, description says MBR, forum posts show GPT scheme, but the
bootstrap code used comes from /boot/pmbr.

I don't understand this. I do know that GPT for a long time was incompatible
with gmirror as both save data at the end of the chosen disk. I think that's
still true.
