Why? The developers at work tend to use /tmp for *lots* of stuff. If the
periodic scripts didn't empty out /tmp regularly, our system would have
heaps of ununsed directories (several layers deep) lying everywhere. If
it bothers you, you can add to the exclusion path, but the default setting
is fine for our systems.
