I have been fighting (with helpful patches from Steve O'Hara_Smith) to get my ESS Solo-1 sound chip working with FreeBSD. I noticed that the Net/OpenBSD people have this driver and I wonder how much work it would take to port it to Newpcm. Does anyone have an idea? It is certainly above my abilities, but I could start if someone could give direction/advice.
