It seems that you have an ATAPI floppy-drive device that 8 doesn't like:

afd0: setting PIO3
device_attach: afd0 attach returned 6

Have you tried enabling ATA_CAM on 8 as a test, or removing the ATAPI floppy-
drive as a test?
