The CVSup file below uses a short cut that appears to be incorrect as it refers to the files on my machine not yours.
A.5.3. CVSup Configuration
CVSup's operation is controlled by a configuration file called the supfile. There are some sample supfiles in the directory /usr/share/examples/cvsup/.

It refers to file:///usr/share/examples/cvsup/
