We have gone through a long period of time where what was considered HEAD or -CURRENT was drastically different from -STABLE (the 5.x versus 4.x branches). But now we'll be going through a stage where we'll be putting out at least a few releases based on RELENG_5 (5.4, 5.5, etc). So right now "MFC-ing something" means merging it into RELENG_5. If you do not MFC it then it won't wind up in a release until 6.0 comes out. -- Ken Smith - From there to here, from here to | kensmith@cse.buffalo.edu there, funny things are everywhere. | - Theodore Geisel |
