Both i915 and i195kms are present in the system. Your proposal guarantees
that DRI1 driver is always loaded, making new ddx non-operational.

It might make sense to try i915 if i915kms failed to load, only to hope to
support (far) future systems where i915kms is renamed back to i915.
I would not bother now.
