To FreeBSD,

I just learned about FreeBSD and want to let your readers know about the
first ClusterWorld Conference and Expo (CWCE) taking place this summer.
CWCE is soliciting abstracts on a number of topics and there is still
time to get a paper in. Thank you for reviewing the conference
information and hopefully you will promote this new event on your web site.

ClusterWorld Conference and Expo
in Partnership with the Linux Clusters: HPC Revolution 2003 Conference

June 24 - 26, 2003
June 23, 2003 Tutorials
San Jose Convention Center
San Jose, CA, USA

The Linux Clusters: the HPC Revolution 2003 Conference and the
ClusterWorld Conference and Expo (CWCE) have merged to become the
premier international
conference concerning clusters of all types. This will be a 4-day event
including conference, expo, and tutorials. The world-class event is
focused on the application and management of clustered systems in
large-scale computing environments.

For 4 days, users, researchers, vendors, executives, and developers, of
large-scale clusters will gather in San Jose to see the most recent
technology offerings and learn about the latest developments and current
research while also helping others by sharing knowledge and experiences.

The CWCE technical conference, organized in partnership with the Linux
Clusters Institute (LCI), will feature quality presentations from
speakers involved in high-
performance large-scale and cluster computing from industry, academia,
and government organizations. The technical papers will cover a broad
range of topics. These speakers will address efforts to integrate and
develop science and engineering applications for large-scale clusters,
in order to achieve maximum performance and scalability. This year, the
conference is being expanded to include a full day of tutorials -
"Applications Tuning in a Nutshell" and "Systems in a Nutshell" offered
by LCI instructors.

The technical conference program committee is soliciting novel papers on
a broad range of topics related to end user applications, development of
tools, systems integration, operation and support, and experiences in
use and administration. Proposed papers will be selected on the basis of
a 5 to 8 page extended abstract.

Industry-specific tracks will provide users and companies an opportunity
to present their experiences with applications, tools, use, and
administration of large-scale clusters. The anticipated industrial
tracks include - petroleum and geophysics, bioinformatics, rendering for
content creation, aerospace and automotive, and finance. Parties
interested in participating in the industrial tracks, involving a
presentation only, should submit a one-page abstract outlining their
experiences.

The deadline for extended abstract submission is February 24, 2003. For
further information about submitting abstracts, see:
http://www.linuxclustersinstitute.org/Linux-HPC-Revolution/callforpapers.html

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Cluster computing in Business, Industry, or Academia
- Experiences in Development of Highly Parallel Applications
- Porting Experiences
- Performance Evaluation, Analysis, and Optimization
- High Performance Applications and Libraries
- Performance Tools, Debuggers, and Environments
