noor@comrax.com stated: : Hi : : I've searched the mailing list concerning Adaptec 3200S and 3400S Raid : controllers, but found nothing. I wanted to know if FreeBSD's asr driver : supports the 3200S and 3400S cards, as it does for the 2100S card? (I : found a post about 2100S) : : Just tell me if recent STABLE asr driver supports 3200S and 3400S : Adaptec Raid controllers. I believe these are the FSA/Ultra160 family of SCSI RAID adapters. These use the aac driver (only in -current at the moment). For more details see http://people.freebsd.org/~msmith/RAID If these are in the FSA class, then this driver has serious issues at the moment. I have Dell PE 4400 with a PERC 2/QC in it that locks up solid after about 1/4 - 1/3 or of an installworld. I think both Mike Smith (msmith) and Scott Long are aware of the problem and are working toward a fix ...
