The report of unreliability I know of personaly is from a Windows
system.  There appear to be a number of problems including refusal to
boot if the wrong disk dies, and extreme fragility in the remirroring
state if you use RAID 1.  If you ignore the RAID feature, it's a fine
ata controler.
