Hello FreeBSDer, I am Mitnick, a student who want to apply for GSoC 2013 and contribute to FreeBSD. I have take a look of the FreeBSD idea page. A project "Extend UFS2 with on-disk indexing" attracted my attention. As far as I know is that the project is an extension of "Dynamic memory allocation for dirhash in UFS2". I am wondering to know the project status and the potential mentor of the project. I have experience in C and have traced the source code of a file system. However I don't have any programming experience with UFS2. Any suggestion on what steps I should take to start is welcome!! Thanks very much. Mitnick
