    One word:  Don't.  PQ_CACHESIZE can be used to fine-tune the kerel's
    understanding of the machine's L1 and L2 caches, for optimization 
    purposes, but the reality is that messing around with it will not
    make one iota of difference in performance.  So don't bother.
