im using a toshiba laptop 2540CDS, the video "card" is an S3 Virge MX. Im at a loss as to what else you might need, in terms of describing the configuration of my system, Mr. Nolde. My ESP comes and goes too :) one thing i just remembered, i do have XFREE86_VERSION= 4 uncommented in my /etc/make.conf file.
