  Hello.
i was wondering if someone could help me on a vital decsion here. Acctuall i have a 486
DX\33 machine with 4 MBs of Ram, a 1.08 Giga HD, a quadspeed CDROM, and a sound
blaster. my machine is a very very slow one, for one thing, it needs ram and i know
about that, But i was wondering if changeing the operating system would improve it's
performance. I consedered switching from dos ver6.20 and windows 3.11 to Win95, or OS\2
Warp, but some friends told me that Linux would make better use of the machine. Now i
heard recently about FreeBSD, and you can see the mess I'm in now, i don't know what
operating system would be best for my machine, and which one would make the best use
out of it.
I'm going to add 4 megs of additonal ram, but still the operating system is one of the
most important things i need.

Could you please kindly guide me the best solution, or at least lead me to any good
refrences where i could read and get inlighted to take a better decsion about this
matter.

Thank you very much for your help.
