https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=289357 Stefan B. <sblachmann@gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |sblachmann@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from Stefan B. <sblachmann@gmail.com> --- "pkg: An error occurred while fetching package: No error" Confirming the issue, This showstopper issue is years old, and people are still guessing. I finally made the effort to look into this code. I wasted a few hours trying to understand this convoluted spaghetti and now understand well why nobody wants to touch this. The bad thing with these bugs is that pkgng can snap every time when one uses it. After this often no more software installs are possible, rendering a system unusable and forcing new install. The rest of FreeBSD can be so good, it is useless if the chance to break it by merely installing an app is high. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
