I don't quite know what I did last time, but clearly I don't understand
kernel compile on FreenBSD very well. This time I just added in support
for ext2fs and left everything else as it was; this seems to work as
far as I can see.

Lots of homework to be done before I can use FreeBSD effectively!
But this list is very helpful.
