Well, I does not really see the difference. And I have identical results so
far. It's just our sysadmin guys who insist on gated. If I'll be able to
make it talk to the Internet, I'll swtch back to routed.

'route add default ...' Everything built automatically. I do not understand
why the MAC addresses being used for the machines connected directly. Is
thid normal?

My router is 198.80.26.2 that talks to Internet. I believe this is HP
9000/807 as our backbone network is built of them. The results of 'ripquery
