Why does NOTIFY option in irc/xchat adds dependency on notification-daemon in addition to libnotify? As far as I understand, notification-daemon is just another notification daemon implementation and most popular desktop environments provide their own (built-in) implementations. Looks like this page has a pretty good overview: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Libnotify I think that only libnotify dependency should be there. Choice of notification daemon should entirely be up to an end user. -- Andriy Gapon
