> have you seen the linux 2.6 way and the open bsd's? Don't confuse Hot Plug interfaces with pci hot plug. The stuff OpenBSD has is basically the same as FreeBSD's devd. FreeBSD does implement a subset of the pci hot=plug stuff, it is called CardBus and works. Have you looked at FreeBSD's devd? Warner
