-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I've got ppp -dedicated providing IP to a PowerBook running FreePPP. Normally it works quite well; FreePPP establishes the connection fine, and everything works as expected. However on occasion FreePPP cannot make the connection until I kill and restart ppp. The relevant section of ppp.conf is as follows (the only line in default is the set log line which is overidden by this:) - -----BEGIN EXCERPT ppp.conf----- quest-hardwired: set log Phase set timeout 0 set device /dev/ttyd0 set lqrperiod 10 set ifaddr 192.168.0.1 192.168.0.2 set speed 115200 enable lqr accept lqr - -----END EXCERPT ppp.conf----- In addition, I get rather repetitive ``Disconnected!'' log messages when the PowerBook is not using the FreePPP link: - -----BEGIN EXCERPT ppp.log----- Apr 27 01:00:12 megaweapon ppp[2294]: Phase: deflink: Disconnected! Apr 27 01:00:44 megaweapon last message repeated 2 times . . (more of the same) . Apr 27 17:00:01 megaweapon last message repeated 22 times . . (repeat until killed) . - -----BEGIN EXCERPT ppp.log----- Ideas? :-) - -- Matt Behrens <matt@zigg.com> Owner/Administrator, zigg.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.1 (FreeBSD) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE5CgaR+xq4JbgNGlMRAmIgAKCqBAilbb7fEd4vDn3xK6YBKN6aKQCfTzOp nFHjoc4Tp6AoP2yCB3Avi2s= =bh/i -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
