[-- Attachment #1 --] Yesterday I discovered that the 'doc' subtree of the FreeBSD repository isn't having $FreeBSD$ revision checks performed on files as they are being checked in. I am guessing that this is an oversight due to the way that the CVSROOT/commit_check.pl script was hard-coded. After discussion with Nik Clayton last night we've decided to switch these checks on, which I intend to do later today. Those of you who commit in 'src' will already be familiar with the concept. For those of you who only commit to 'doc', you will now need to embed a '$FreeBSD$' tag somewhere in the file, usually in a comment line, before the repository will let you add a new file. Additionally there are checks to make sure that the revision string hasn't become corrupt when checking in a modification. This is to prevent accidental committing of a wrong version. Please feel free to ask if there are any problems.
