Graham Perrin <grahamperrin@freebsd.org> has asked freebsd-fs (Nobody)
<fs@FreeBSD.org> for maintainer-feedback:
Bug 271384: zfs_load is not suitably documented
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D271384

--- Comment #1 from Graham Perrin <grahamperrin@freebsd.org> ---
zfs_load is mentioned obscurely under
<https://docs.freebsd.org/en/articles/remote-install/#_post_installation_st=
eps>
in 'Remote Installation of the FreeBSD Operating System Without a Remote
Console', however:=20

* it's nowhere in the FreeBSD Handbook.

We should document that zfs_load:=20

* is automatically enabled (set to "YES") if ZFS is chosen when installing
FreeBSD

* can be manually enabled for atypical use cases, such as the one described=
 in=20
  comment 0

* must be "NO" when using the port of OpenZFS, i.e. sysutils/openzfs-kmod.

Also =E2=80=93 maybe a question for fs@ =E2=80=93 should zfs_load be mentio=
ned in
loader.conf(5)?
