Quick addendum: I had stunnel on debug level 7 which was logging a tremendous amount of information since it records each and every connection; I have many users check their mail via a tunneled pop connection every 1-3 minutes! As you can imagine, the log files were enormous. Wiping the logs and dialing the debug level down to 4 fixed the problem nicely. Hope this helps someone else.
