I use two NCR/SYMBIOS SCSI controllers in my system. A 53c810a for my
SCSI-II devices and a 53c875j for my Ultra-Wide devices. The 53c810a is
an ASUS SC200 (about $65 CDN) and my 53c875j is a Diamond FirePort40
(about $200 CDN). Both work perfectly. In fact I had the SC200 first and
compiled support for it in a new kernel and when I got the FirePort40 all
I did was put it in my computer and it automatically recognized it. No
need to rebuild a kernel. Both have been perfectly stable since I've
gotten them.
