In the Oct 13 NetworkWorld on pg 21, there is a figure of 3-10 million linux
users worldwide, so this 6 million figure may be a reasonable number. There
is also an article ("Linux flexes its Internet muscle") that goes on about how
linux does this and that and washes your dishes. FreeBSDdoes/supports most if
not all of the same things except maybe support Microsoft Server Block protocol.
On a more FreeBSD note, I read something in SunExpert(1-2 months ago?) that was
touting FreeBSD loud and clear. I have been off the mailing lists for a few
months but I will see if I can't find the article again if someone wants to read
it themselves.
