  You can still automate with a script hack but there has been concerns
about the stability of the Infortrend controllers under high load so I
would certainly investgate further with 100+ servers.  Note that this is
with the older series I haven't heard anything about the new powerPC
based controllers.

  There was a recent thread on the cyrus list about using it under NFS
with NetApp's but I do not remember the conclusions drawn from that.  That
might be a possibility for you.

  I don't believe there currently is a "recommended" SCSI<->SCSI RAID
controller for FreeBSD.  It used to be the Mylex 960SUI but I think David
Greenmen had some issues with that.  The CMD was another one that has
fallen in/out of favor several times.  At this point in the FreeBSD
evolution, I would consider the Mylex/AMI PCI controllers if they're an
option.  Mike Smith works for FreeBSD and wrote the drivers so I feel a
lot better about the stability and support.  I believe they're both
supported under 4.0 and 3.x-stable however you can not boot from a RAID
volume under 3.x yet.
