Have you tried removing and re-adding the card after boot?

The power code needs to be rewritten using an interrupt state machine,
but I've not had time to do that just yet.  That's the root cause of
this.

However, that might not be your problem.  Take pcic out of your
kernel for now.  I don't think that will cause big problems, but you
never know.
