well, your crystal ball was pretty close ;) Of the three startup scripts in /usr/local/etc/rc.d/, apache.sh was the culprit... as soon as I moved it out of the dir, then the reboot came up to the login prompt. However, once I moved it back in, and rebooted, (edited nothing), it comes up golded as well. Did you happen to use your psyonics to manipulate a few bits around my hdd?
