Hi there, I am having a problem with a flaky hard drive -- the machine hangs at the adapter BIOS splash screen and the drive starts ticking, like a metronome. The adapter's diagnostic came up with the following: sense key: 0x02 sense code: 0x40 sense code qualifier: 0x83 Can someone point me to a document that explains these codes? I fear the drive is completely shot, but I'd like to be sure before I give up on it. Ben "You have your mind on computers, it seems."
