That's what I'm thinking right now too.  I'm building the
latest-checked-out 11.1-STABLE at present.

I have:

[karl@NewFS ~]$ clang --version
FreeBSD clang version 5.0.1 (tags/RELEASE_501/final 320880) (based on
LLVM 5.0.1)
Target: x86_64-unknown-freebsd11.1
Thread model: posix
InstalledDir: /usr/bin

[karl@NewFS ~]$ uname -v
FreeBSD 11.1-STABLE #0 r328086: Wed Jan 17 11:49:06 CST 2018    
root@NewFS.denninger.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/KSD-SMP

He is on a later rev of 11.1 from his build rev, but whether CLANG was
updated I do not know offhand.
