I don't know .. you can probably put something in Slot 1 and it'll work as
long as there's something in Slot 0. I've seen it on my machines over the
years and have chocked it up to a bug in reading the CIS termination
record .... when it sees the Termination tuple, it stops reading entirely,
instead of going on to the next slot :)
