I'd s/many/some, but that's just me (the fact that there are bugs in many=20 ports that are manifested by just compiling them, regardless of CFLAGS, is= =20 undeniable, too ;)). Anyway, regarding the question of the OP, at least KDE should be -O2-safe,= =20 it's been the default optimization level of the project for a long time. Th= at=20 said, I never noticed any cool speed gains from that at runtime - I did=20 notice the increase of compilation-time though (and I notice it more with=20 each gcc update). =2D-=20 ,_, | Michael Nottebrock | lofi@freebsd.org (/^ ^\) | FreeBSD - The Power to Serve | http://www.freebsd.org \u/ | K Desktop Environment on FreeBSD | http://freebsd.kde.org --nextPart5698984.8Gce4ajqfP Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.6 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBBjAYzXhc68WspdLARApnAAJ0S5geSG+t8VsE41Y9HVJexRaXTPACgp0K5 9xzWhy1U9FLIWEz0u6+KtIQ= =XPtE -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart5698984.8Gce4ajqfP--
