This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_000C_01BFD27A.70CC3F20 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi, I got huge problem while installing FreeBSD 4.0 on my Echos P90 Laptop. I know that it is actually supported, but I'm still facing a big problem. When I start my installation with the first boot disk "kernel" ... my computer hangs after the following messages: /boot.config: -P Keyboard: no >> FreeBSD/i386 BOOT Default: 0:fd(0,a)/boot/loader boot: BTX loader 1.00 BTX version is 1.01 -- stops right here -- Well I already figured out that my keyboard isn't supported. So I started with the boot option (-h). Which actually works. (it continues loading till disk change) But as soon as I have to change to the next boot disk "mfsroot", I have to press enter to confirm. And that's actually my problem. Cause my keyboard is at that point still not working (even with -h) so I can't confirm the disk change and my installation stops here. But I was already able to install it once ... cause as long as the disk is loading, my keyboard is actually working ... so I just have to be fast enough to change disk and press enter within a second. But that means redoing the entire procedure for about an hour!!! So please if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it. Thank you very much! My mailadress: mailsimon@gmx.net Thank you very much in advance.. guys ------=_NextPart_000_000C_01BFD27A.70CC3F20 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.3017.1000" name=3DGENERATOR></HEAD> <BODY> <DIV><FONT face=3DVerdana size=3D2> <DIV><FONT face=3DVerdana size=3D2> <DIV><FONT face=3DVerdana size=3D2><SPAN=20 class=3D426203504-07062000>Hi,</SPAN></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DVerdana size=3D2><SPAN class=3D426203504-07062000>I = got huge problem=20 while installing FreeBSD 4.0 on my Echos P90 Laptop.
