USB is an interface as another one, it doesn't really deserve a chapter, it's not the case of PC Card and other Cardbus which should be in a laptop part. That part already exists as a small laptop article. With the fact that big part could grow quickly, you see why i think that doing a big Chapter 14 is a bad idea for future evolution. > For now though, I'm more inclined to just add the part about vchans to > my current chapter 14, which seems doable, get that chapter 14 > committed, because I think it is important to save people headaches > [and TV/DVD apps are very popular these days], and then start thinking > about a second book, and maybe getting some volunteers, since I only > know the devices I have -- and I'm not a big hacker, really. > Once again, a big *thing* can be done, with many problems in future to split it. Things about video must be added in the Handbook, ok let's just add a video/ directory and a dedicaced chapter. With that solution the idea of a Multimedia or other type of part will be easy to set up.
